Opening in May 2018, Lazy Claire is the most authentic French pâtisserie in Northern Ireland. Our focus is high-quality pastries that are very hard to find elsewhere made to exacting standards.
In our Belfast bakery, we craft everything from scratch using our pastry knowledge and passion for baking.
Daniel began his pastry career at the former restaurant No. 27 Talbot Street. When it closed he moved to Paris where he worked at the world-renowned tearoom and patisserie Angelina in the heart of the capital.
When Daniel moved back to Belfast, he began planning for opening the most authentic pâtisserie in Northern Ireland.
In late 2023, Lazy Claire Patisserie invested in a state-of-the-art production kitchen on the Beersbridge Road. Daniel and the team are able to increase capacity and production to cater to higher levels of special orders and daily items.
Daniel has been nominated for Best Pastry Chef by Food and Wine Ireland in both 2019, 2022 and 2023. He is proud to be named in the Top 10 Pastry Chefs
In early 2020 Lazy Claire Patisserie was nominated for three Irish Restaurant Awards and Daniel was nominated for Best Chef.
Again in 2022 LCP was nominated for four Irish Restaurant Awards: Best Chef, Best Café, Best Customer Service and Best World Cuisine.
