Opening in May 2018, Lazy Claire is the most authentic French pâtisserie in Northern Ireland. Our focus is high-quality pastries that are very hard to find elsewhere made to exacting standards. Our creations are not to be found elsewhere and we pride ourselves on being one-of-a-kind
Daniel began his pastry career at the former restaurant No. 27 Talbot Street. When it closed he moved to Paris where he worked at the world-renowned tearoom and patisserie Angelina in the heart of the capital.
When Daniel moved back to Belfast, he began planning for opening the most authentic pâtisserie in Northern Ireland. He shares his passion for pastry and desserts in our Castlereagh Road bakery.
In 2019 after being open barely a year, Daniel was nominated for the Food and Wine Ireland awards as best pastry chef. He was in the Top 10 for the whole of Ireland.
In early 2020 Lazy Claire Patisserie was nominated for three Irish Restaurant Awards and Daniel was nominated for Best Chef.
We will remain open for takeaways only during the current restrictions.
