Due to our production schedule we plan our week in advance. This includes calculating recipes, ensuring adequate kitchen coverage, production days and ordering of ingredients. At any given time we may have five to six orders per week that we have already scheduled and planned for. We make all our pastries by hand and we do not order anything in, so there is extensive planning involved. This is what sets Lazy Claire Patisserie apart from many other Belfast bakeries!.
We only specialise in traditional French patisserie items and do not offer items such as cakes or buns. You can find a full list of items we make on our special order page and on our Instagram feed.
No, we are not able to offer this service due to our production constraints and the need to purchase special ingredients for bespoke or customised orders
At present we are only selling items through our retail premises and are unable to provide wholesale items to cafes and restaurants.
Yes, we have provided pastries for weddings or larger events, however we do need more than our usual 7-days' notice. Please use our contact form with full details of dates and items requested and we will be in touch.
We follow classic French pastry recipes that rely heavily on eggs and dairy products and many include gelatine. We do have some items that would be suitable for vegetarians, however we would not be able to produce items suitable for a vegan lifestyle.
Due to high demand from our in-person customers, we aren't able to offer pre-orders for our daily items. If you would like to order a selection of items, please get in touch and we can advise whether this is available.
We highly recommend eating our pastries on the same day they are made. Due to the fresh and delicate nature of pastries and creams, the quality that we strive for will not be the same even overnight.
This is especially true for our croissants and other viennoiseries that are baked fresh each day. Please keep in mind that day-old pastries, while perfectly edible, will not give you the true sense of our highest standards.
